Welcome to my website and thanks for visiting.
This is the spot where I collect the random musings, melodies, ditties, and musical duds that float by and occasionally get captured. All songs on the albums page have been recorded in bedrooms in Texas, Washington DC, and Denver over the last few years, often late at night and often incomplete. Most were written, composed, arranged, recorded, and mixed in a single setting. While comparing them to "real" music will focus one's attention on the poor sound quality, the occasionally missing verses, and the sometimes abrupt endings, I prefer to compare each of these little songs to a more realistic comparison: the silence that existed before they were birthed.
Compared to the quiet stillness that existed before attempting to transplant them from notes in my head to notes in reality, they all sound like mini-masterpieces to me and I love them all for the symbols of creation and noise and moments and memories that they represent. While they are each imperfect, I feel they are imperfect in unique and beautiful ways, and they are much closer to the music in my mind (even with their imperfections) than the dull silence that lingered before their arrival. In short, they make me feel like I exist.
